比起15年前的那一部更侧重于讲述黑人在重建时期的发展与重建失败后的斗争。历史很容易被改写，被掩盖，如果不是学习了重建史，即使美国人恐怕也不知道、并且难以想象在150年前南方黑人曾经拥有过选票，曾经担任过国会议员、政府官员，曾经的民权法案将教育交通住宿等的隔离都定为非法。好在真实的历史靠着口述、照片、文字保留下来了。

太难了，这个英字真刷不下去了，文化背景也不懂，生词也不懂，名人也不懂，事迹也不懂。坚持了三集半，最后一集只看了一半，实在挺不下去了。
